At Essential MFR we use Myofascial Release and Cranial-Sacral Therapy (CST) as set forth by the principles of John F. Barnes. They are specialized alternative therapies that eliminate restrictions in the fascial system (or deep connective tissue) by using gentle forms of stretching and elongation. This whole body approach will regain movement, reduce pain and restore functionality.
Our therapists are also trained in traditional massage therapy, such as Orthopedic Massage. This is a more progressive and structural approach and is used in conjunction with the above therapies in cases of acute injuries usually resulting from athletic performance or repetitive movements.
While single sessions can be scheduled from sixty to one-hundred and twenty minutes in duration, a typical session is approximately sixty minutes. Most goals can be met receiving one to two sessions per week for 4-12 weeks. Chronic and more severe conditions will require greater frequency and increased length of treatment. The consistency of sessions make the combination of these therapies the triad to better health with lasting results.
And newly added to Essential MFR is DeepBodyWork® massage. Sessions are available as a stand alone service or can be used in conjunction with your therapy on a regular basis to keep muscles toned and free of toxin build up.
